CLOSED LOCAL EXPLANATION
**Miss Northwest is a closed local. Contestants from the following counties are eligible to compete: Wilkin, Ottertail, Wadena, Meeker, Kittson, Roseau, Lake of the Woods, Marshall, Beltrami, Polk, Pennington, Red Lake, Clearwater, Norman, Mahnomen, Hubbard, Cass, Clay, Becker, Crow Wing, Traverse, Grant, Douglas, Todd, Morrison, Stevens, Pope, Stearns, Big Stone, Swift, Kandiyohi, Benton, Sherburne, Wright and Anoka counties. These counties are from northwest of the Twin Cities to the Canadian border. Contestants are not eligible if they live in the 6 county metro area (Hennepin, Ramsey, Washington, Dakota, Scott and Carver); southern Minnesota, or Northeast Minnesota (i.e. Duluth). Questions?
